I checked out this book at the library simply cuz all my friends went to see the musical this last weekend, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I have read about 50 pages and can go no further. It is pretty much trashy. Every other page is about trashy sex. So, I can no longer read this book, and I am happy that I didn't buy it and only checked it out from the library. Oh, and everyone I have talked to said the musical was wonderful and the music is awesome. Apparently they took the best parts out of the book and left the trashy stuff out of the musical (for the most part). Now they tell me....

I don't even know what to say ... I'm sorry for recommending you read the book so you could "get" the story that was so BRILLIANT on stage!!! Listen to the soundtrack - it's amazing!! Then skip to when they go to Shiz ... hopefully things will clean themselves up ;)
