HP #7

So who spent hours reading "Deathly Hallows" this weekend? My husband did. However, before he picked it up he cleaned the whole kitchen including sweeping the floor...'cuz he knew he would be worthless once he picked it up until he finished it.

Darn it! Why does this have to be the last one? I need to find more books for him to read so I can get some more things done around here. ;)

My Book of the Week

4973690[1]

I Am a Mother

This is a GREAT book for anyone who is a mother. There are lots of feel good books out there for moms, but this one I really liked and could relate to. Not that I was once a prime time reporter for a television station, but because I used to work outside the home and felt like I was doing well with my "career."

Now I am a mother!

I am not JUST a stay at home mom.

I am a MOM!

Still hard to say without the "just", but great career move I must say.

wicked is not so wicked...

after the first section of the book that is. It is actually quite good after you get through that part. If you want to read it, let me know and I will tell you the G version of section one in five minutes or less. Kari talked me into keep reading to see if it was bad all the way through. I gave in to peer pressure...

wicked

UPDATE: I finished reading the book and have listened to the music from the broadway show. I really enjoyed the book and am loving the music. Poor Wicked Witch of the West; she wasn't really all that wicked.

Wicked is wicked

Wicked

I checked out this book at the library simply cuz all my friends went to see the musical this last weekend, and I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I have read about 50 pages and can go no further. It is pretty much trashy. Every other page is about trashy sex. So, I can no longer read this book, and I am happy that I didn't buy it and only checked it out from the library. Oh, and everyone I have talked to said the musical was wonderful and the music is awesome. Apparently they took the best parts out of the book and left the trashy stuff out of the musical (for the most part). Now they tell me....
