I had my first crash yesterday on my bike. Gabe, Ethan, and I rode our bikes to the pool to swim some laps. After swimming about 500 yds. and then getting an ice cream cone, we started back home. At one point in our ride, we have to cross an area of grass at the bottom of a small hill to get to the sidewalk that will take us home. Thinking I could beat my boys, I took off ahead of them. When I tried to get on the sidewalk, I didn't come at it just right so when I hit that sidewalk with my front wheel, off I flew over the bike landing on my knees and then rolling on to my back and shoulder narrowly missing Ethan coming at me. My boys were so sweet and worried about me. After I got up and got back on my bike, they then told me how cool that crash was. Thanks, guys.
Scroll down to see the results of that spill. I didn't want my bloody knees to be the first thing you saw when you came here. ;)
I must say that as much as this hurt, I was a little disappointed that my injuries were not enough to take me out of the triathlon in two weeks. Yep, I'm starting to freak out about it!

Oh, poor baby! That looks like it hurts! Of course, it won't keep you out of the competition! It's only gonna make it more uncomfortable. (haha) I can just hear Kari now tell you there is no way you are dropping out!!!! I'm so proud of you two for doing this. Quite impressive really! Good luck GF! Love ya!
OUCH!!!! I'm glad that this was the only injury and not worse! Hang in there-
Owie,Owie!Hopefully you will be all better by the time your triathalon is here.

Oh Tori, you little Evil Knievel! Sorry your crash wasn't worse (if that was really what you were wanting :)). Hope your knees are feeling better soon. :)
Suck it up my friend ... you're not getting out of it ;)
And you call Kari your friend!! Such harsh words. Guess that is why you call her a cold hearted b*stard. Ha! Ha!
