Digiscrappin' News

"Many of you have commented and e-mailed about my digiscrapping and the class I was taking ... I could never say enough good about the experience!! I wanted to let you know that Jessica Sprague has announced a new session of the Up & Running with Photoshop class that I just completed. Registration begins October 8th, and class runs from October 15th - November 11th. This will be the last session for 2007 and she will offer it again in 2008. If you have been the least bit tempted to try it out I would say this class is a MUST!!! The session I took filled in less than 12 hours, so if you want to register - don't put it off ;) My next class - Now We're Rockin' With Photoshop - starts October 22nd and I can hardly wait!!"

This was posted on my friend Kari's blog, and I just copied and pasted it here as she said exactly what I was going to say about this subject matter. ;) I LOVE the digiscrappin' and would highly recommend this class! Jessica Sprague is a superstar, and I want to be just like her when I grow up. I have not left my house to go and buy ONE single thing having to do with this class or with digiscrappin'. Well, except for the new external hard drive to hold all the files, but that was my birthday present so doesn't count. (you know you are a compy geek when you ask for an EHD and a laptop for your birthday...and more memory) My point is, you don't have to live in an area with lots of scrapbook stores to do digiscrapping as you download all your supplies from home. You print your layouts at Costco. So simple. So easy. So cute. So fun. So there you have it.

ALSO, since I know you have been concerned about my roasting in the desert in September, I am going to be alright. The temperature is now cooling off in the evenings...enough to actually enjoy being at baseball and soccer practices and enough to open the windows at night to cool the house down without the air conditioning! YES! Welcome lower electric bills!

quick question-when you say you print your layouts at costco, which size do you get in order to have a 12x12 page?
THANKS! I'm totally signing up for the class...after I talk to Dave about it :)

Costco now prints 12x12 pages or 8x8 pages, maybe some others. Some of the Costco stores have printers that will print 12x36 size, which is 3 layouts on one sheet for $5-6 or so. You can look online at costco.com to find out specific sizes and prices for the one closest to you.

You are going to LOVE the class! (Dave, let her take it!)

And Loralee-there are other places to get your layouts printed, some on-line stores, but Costco seems the easiest for me right now.

Just picked up my 8x8 layouts from Costco today!!! It is so fun to see them in "real life." Loralee - when you go to order prints online at Costco.com it will list your choices (4x6, 5x7, etc) and just underneath that you can click on larger sizes or SQUARE SIZES. From there you can pick 8x8 or 12x12! They are $1.49 and $2.99 and you can get them in Luster or Glossy! Mine turned out great and were done in and hour :)

Alli, Alli, Alli- I have not ignored your invite. In fact, I have been thinking about it quite seriously. I was going to go on Mapquest to figure out a half way point but haven't had a chance to do it yet. Seriously! I am thinking about it seriously, so you better be too! You, me, Jayne, and Harper for lunch. Seriously!

Blythe is a little more than half way for me, but I wouldn't mind at all! I hear they have 5 mexican restaurants and an LDS church there.
