I guess it is finally my turn to share 7 random things...thanks toRachel. So, here goes.

1. I used to work for the Roy Clark Celebrity Theatre in Branson, Missouri, while in high school. This was my summer job. You remember Roy Clark, the star of "Hee Haw." Lots of country stars came to his theatre, but I didn't ever meet any of them. If I did, I don't remember so they didn't make that much of an impression on me. I saw them a lot of them onstage, however. I worked in the ticket office.

2. My dad named a road after me in Springerville, Arizona. As he was the general contractor of building the subdivision, I guess he got to name the road. Since it went in a circle, he named it "Tori Circle." If you don't believe me, I'll show one of the signs to you. I have one of the road signs as my two daring and crazy older brothers stole one of them for me.

3. I used to want to be a pediatrician...my whole life until I was in my second year at Ricks (which is now BYU-Idaho). Then I realized how much time I would have to spend away from my family if I did this. I wanted to be a mom more than a doctor.

4. I quit drinking caffeine two months ago. It was really hard at first, but everytime I cheated and took a drink (which was only two or three times), it would make me sick...horrible stomach cramps. That made it MUCH easier to quit drinking it. Not drinking caffeine narrows down your drink choices a lot. I used to go to the gas station or Taco Bell or any where they sold Pepsi to get one. The only places that I have found that had a NON-diet (I CANNOT DRINK DIET...YUCK) were in Utah. Go figure. One was at the Lion House Restaurant on Temple Square in SLC and the other was in a gas station in Cedar City. So, my gas station trips have been reduced to nil. Fast food restaurants don't have CF Pepsi either, so I get to have Sprite or Seirra Mist or water. Boring. I do, however, buy 12-packs of CF Pepsi that I have only found at Target or a Super Wal-Mart. When dining at restaurants, I get cherry Sprite or raspberry lemonade if they have it. Why did I do this you ask? Well for one my husband was giving me such a hard time for drinking so much of it and because my doctor said caffeine is the third leading cause of gaining and/or not being able to lose weight. It causes your body to release more insulin which causes your body to crave more carbs. Interesting, huh? Wow...that was a long one.

5. I am the only member of my family (husband and kids) that is not a member of the Walker River Paiute Indian Tribe. You can only be a member by blood. I am just a loner white lady, just like my mother-in-law.

6. When I was a young girl, I seriously considered getting into the whole pageant thing. I almost did "Miss Pre-Teen Missouri." But...I was just too shy, so I didn't. Good thing I didn't as I would have lost big time! (What was I thinking???)

7. I used to be an "official" member of the Smurf Fan Club. I LOVED those little blue men, but couldn't ever figure out why there were only three girls with all those boys. I had a bunch of the little figurines but now only have a few. My favorite was Smurfette, of course, but second favorite was Grumpy as I could relate to him quite a bit.

So, there you have it. Seven random things you may or may not have known about me. I am not going to tag anyone else as pretty much everyone I know in the blogging world has already been tagged.

I'll have to come over next week to see your road sign ... I'm not sure if I believe you ;) BTW - Smurfs are at about the same level as TMNT in my opinion!

I can say that I agree with Kari about the whole smurf thing! When my kids see it on now they yell at me, "Mom your favorite show is on" this is of course when we are at someone elses place since we have no Television. Did ya ever find out why there are so many boys verses girls? Cause I am feeling a little like one of the girls around all the men!
