Poor little men...

Sorry for such short posts lately. Still battling with the same cough I've held onto for the past two weeks. Kinda getting better.

After a long weekend of worrying and two doctor visits, we found out that Gabe had poison ivy. He started with a few little bumps on one finger, which turned into blisters, which turned into a rash all over his body. He was in a patch of poison ivy on our ward camp out, over two weeks ago! I didn't realize this, but the oils from the plant can stay on your clothing for a long time. He wore his old shoes last week (which were last worn in the poison ivy patch) and picked it up from them (I think). I'll try to get some pics of him. He is itching away...poor little man.

Abram went to see Dr. Steve today to get his eyes checked. He has been blinking a lot the last few months and has been complaining of headaches. Lo and behold...his father passed down astigmatism to him. He has it bad in his right eye, so his left eye has been working over time to compensate. It is SIX times worse than the left eye! Here is this little guy who had fluid build up behind his ears when he was two and had a 30% hearing loss. After getting tubes...whoa! He could hear! Now after not being able to see that great, he will be getting glasses which I am sure will be another "whoa" moment for him. Couldn't hear...couldn't see...poor little man.

Just wait until you see him in the glasses he picked out...he looks so incredibly cute! He was, however, a little disappointed that they didn't have any frames with "flames" on them. I can't believe I didn't think about taking pictures of him trying on glasses...I'll take some when we pick up his glasses next week. Here are a few shots of him in the chair at Dr. Steve's, which I did think to take. Don't be surprised if you see them in a future digiscrappin' layout. ;)

Now Abrahm will look even more like his dad. I can't wait to see what glasses he selected. BTW, Loren always looked adorable in glasses as a kid!
