Whitton House

January 31, 2007
I woke up to the sound of my alarm. My first thought was wishing things would get back to normal in our family, but I suddenly realized that our "normal" was changing. This was the day that our Whitton house would be sold to another family. It would no longer be ours. Our little house that we moved into with 2-year-old Gabe and 11-month-old Ethan, our little house that we brought baby Abram home to and baby Jayne home to would no longer be ours. I realized tears were falling down my face and was surprised that I was feeling so sad. Weren't we excited about having a bigger house for our family? Weren't we glad to be leaving our yucky "apartment" carpet, our tiny backyard, and our loud dishwasher? Yes, we were...but we loved this house, and we were a happy family in this house. We have many memories of living in this house of which I will one day scrapbook, but it is time to move on to bigger and better. It is time to move on....to SANTAN!

Aw. I remember the day you bought Whitton. I remember the smell of your guest room, no longer a guest room. I remember baby Gabe splashing in the toilet while Lil Ethan giggled on his back on a blankie in the family room. I'm a little bit sad too but this is what makes life "life". Growing, expanding and changing, just remember that growing pains are part of it and if we didn't have them, we wouldn't appreciate the new as much.

Also, if we didn't grow, we'd all be circus midgets. Now wouldn't that be interesting?

We'll drive up the 10 to help you move, need help? Tiff and Kenzie want to take Jayne and Jonah and Casey want to play with your boys. Say the word, ma'friend.

It's hard to leave a house that you have memories in. But there are many more memories to create! I want pictures!! Good luck with the move - tell your friends that the biggest help is a BABYSITTER!
