short comment on expectations

I have learned a lot about expectations in my old age. This is what I have learned...if you don't expect anything, you won't be disappointed. Whether it be chores around the house done by your husband, gifts on special occasions, phone calls from friends or family, I could keep going. It is sad, I know. But it is much easier in this life for me to not expect much and therefore not be disappointed as much. (Although I do expect a lot from my kids...that is a different story)

I totally know what you're talking about. I've spent the last 4 days in the hospital thinking this baby was going to be different somehow...but its not. Good times and hooray for bedrest.
